We did not get this request very often, this is why we did not yet plan a change here. But it sounds useful to change this. For all customers, also for Bosch. We already took this request into account for future releases.
There are a lot of development activities currently going on to make our solution more interesting for non-Bosch customers. A major one is e.g. that we develop a Web HMI which can be changed in styling. This is why we need to rate all requests and give them a priority. Your requested feature seems not to be very complex. We will evaluate it and get back to you about a realization.

Our S, M and L licensing is bound to the performance class of the controller.
The C6017 in the configuration which we officially support has a performance class which fits the S license. The one you use has a higher performance class (has significantly more performance since it has 4 cores). This is why it is treated as M-License. This is intended.
Unfortunately this behaviour was different in the past V5.x versions and we needed to adjust it so that is works as intended. That is why it previously worked with an S license.

Virtual Assist available as ctrlX World App!
Intuitive error diagnostics, fast service support and direct insight even into complex machines: With Virtual Assist, the HMI is literally made three dimensional. Through simple configuration, a Virtual Assist can be created from CAD models for each individual machine.
From now on it can be purchased and installed from the ctrlX Store as an app on any ctrlX CORE controller. This means that users can now also visualize all faults and events directly on the 3D model of the machine in the ctrlX World. In addition to the app, the Virtual Assist Studio engineering tool is also available in the ctrlX Store.

We are happy to extend you cooperation with Rexroth with this first App. Our Cycle Time Assist App will follow soon. We are also working on integrating ctrlX AUTOMATION as a possible target platform to our product Control plus.

I really like the idea you have, especially because I also have a programmer heart 🙂
Let me explain my current point of view here:
Bugs: Today the channel to post bugs is the helpdesk. I think that is still the best way, since these requests are tracked and you get a response when the bug is solved. But we have plans to make currently open bugs public in a kind of bug list, so everyone knows about them.
Ideas: Actually our intention was to start with this community for posting ideas in the respective product board. For Control plus e.g. in the Control plus board in this community. Of course this is not a ticket system but a good way to describe ideas (rich text editor and possibility to add pictures,..) and discuss them with the community. We will update everybody by posting about our thoughts or the implementation of the ideas.
But of course as a programmer I love your idea of a ticket system like e.g. JIRA. I think we could introduce this when we recognize there are many ideas and we have the need of another platform. Hosting such online offers always comes with quite some effort and we first would like to see of its worth it.
