Hello,
is it possible to use a the Scanner (serial) peripheral with a DMC reader directly connected on the USB port of the PLC?
I wasn't able to find any way to create a IOpconSerialStream tied to a local COM port.

Our serial peripheral is writen for using a EL6001 and a serial scanner.
How using the COM Port, you find a manual directly on Beckhoff site
But for using the virtual COM port, you needf a Beckhoff license TF6340

Thank you for the answer.
I don't unserstand if I can use the scanner object with the virtual port. I think the answer is "NO", but I would like to be sure before asking to swap the USB reader with an ethernet one.

The NexeedScanner object is independent of the communication protocol/fieldbus, but there is no peripheral for a Virtual COM Port. This requires the Beckhoff FB SerialLineControlADS that is part of the library Tc2_SerialCom that is part of the mentioned TF6340 license. I guess the license price is higher than an EL6001/6002 or EP6001/6002.
