For our project with Setup control we would like to show all TypeData available at server during manual changeover. The reason for this is we have lot of single stations and we do not want to write type data name directly into the dialog. So the idea is to display all available data and choose one of them in the same way like we use it for local TypeData in files. Is there any way how to show dialog similar to local data dialog which displays all data available in setup control? Is there any standard or example for this type of data handling?

Yes it was for ethernet handheld scanner Cognex Dataman 8050 (maybe 8700).

Hello Matthias, two days ago my colleague told me about the similar problem in his project. Activation of configuration was the solution for him, but it reminded me something. In object documentation for old DatAccess, there was a flow chart with description what to do when you are changing the structure of DataSet. This was very clear and useful for some newbies and I cannot find something similar in the documentation for DataSetManager.

You cannot the use same instance names only in the same hierarchy (parent) level, like on the picture. But if you encapsulate instances into separated command handlers, same indexes will work. See picture 2.
