This looks really weird, but actually I am quite sure there is no general problem with event texts using {0}. What version of the EventRecorder Service (= Runtime) are you using? Can you post the source code of the step where you set the event? (Alternatively, you can contact our helpdesk so we can give you directions how you can send us your project for analysing the behavior.)

Control plus Studio allows you to change the user name and password of the existing users. Create a dummy project with Control plus Studio 5.x. Add an IPC target system and configure the hostname/IP address of your mPad. Open "Remote connection to target device" in the context menu of the IPC In the Credentials tab, check Change username and Change password and change the users back to OpconUser/OpconAdmin

Thanks for the hint! We are planning to add the missing OpCon string functions in one of the next versions. I am afraid the CodeChecker is slightly ahead of the times and does not distinguish between the string functions that can already be replaced and the missing ones. For the time being, please ignore the CodeChecker findings.

The EventRecorder Viewer is a standalone tool that can be installed on any Windows computer. It is available as part of the Control plus bundle under Common/EventViewer. Usually, this tool allows to open a database file created by the EventRecorder service on the target system (either directly: *.sdf or exported through the app: *.oer) The sdf file can be downloaded from the target system by connecting to the OpconData$ network share. It is also possible to connect the Viewer directly to the EventRecorder service on the target system if the network allows this. In this case you get live updates just like in the HMI on the target system. The Viewer is always connected to localhost by default, but the menu in the bottom right allows you to disconnect from localhost. Afterwards, you can provide the IP address or hostname of the computer running the EventRecorder service and connect to it.
