Do I assume correctly that OES V4.9 does not support the TcXaeShell?
It does not seem to work for me - only Visual Studio 2015 is shown in the dialog during the export - and I only see a comment in the OES V4.10.4 release note that the TcXaeShell is supported, so I assume it is not working for OES V4.9?

Older OES versions cannot open the project using the TcXaeShell, but if the project is already open, the PLC export etc. should work also when using the TcXaeShell. So, in case you prefer to work with the TcXaeShell, you have to open the project manually, e.g. by double-clicking the sln file.
EDIT: This is not true. It doesn't work with the TcXaeShell.

Then I have to report an issue, in my case the TcXaeShell is not displayed during the export if I open OES and TcXaeShell independently / manually. Is there a way how to fix that?

Sorry for my previous answer. I have double-checked and it looks like I had remembered that wrong. Older OES versions really don't work with the TcXaeShell.
