Hi!
I have revieved a licence dongle for Nexeed V2, and insterted it in the IPC (Beckhoff CX2033), but then an error message popped up in Windows, that the device is unknown, to be more precise: Device Descriptor Request Failed.
I also tried to insert it to my laptop, and it was working just fine.
In addition it can't be read from the target either in CPS.
Does anyone faced this issue before?
Thank you in advance and any idea is appreciated. 🙂

You are using the Nexeed Automation Control plus image on the PLC?
What version you using?
Is CodeMeter software running on plc?

I'm using the V10.18 version.
The CodeMeter is running. I tired to restart it, and still couldn't see the licence dongle.
I also reinstalled the IPC with no luck.
I tired to plug it in to my laptop and it was working immediately, so I checked what could be the difference. I found out that a folder is missing on the IPC from the CodeMeter folder.
This contains a WIBU Control File.
I copied the folder to the IPC, then inserted the dongle again, and it started working. 🎉
I'm still curious how this folder was missing even after a complete reinstall. 🤔

Thats realy stange.
Have you tried simply updating the stick?
Not that there is anything wrong with the image stick.

No, I haven't, because this is a completely new service stick which arrived last week. 😯
Also we've just faced the same issue with a previously reinstalled IPC, where the image version is V10.15.
And it was also solved by the steps above.
