In my opinion,  you don't need any code to handler EtherCAT error, this is done by OpconBase, if EtherCAT state is not ok, all object will receive Cancel signal from OpconBase or by SafetyAddon, and your object will execute OnExecCancel, normally the unit object would call Reset method of peipheral object, you only need put some code in Reset method of peipheral object to such as reset _step variables. ... I am afraid the way you suggest is not technically feasible. Even compatible object versions can have different (additional) content so it is not possible to ensure that all data is consistent after merging objects from different versions. So, the first step is to adapt the object versions used in the source project to the ones of the target project. The easiest way to achieve this is to create a copy of the source station folder directly next to the target station folder, so that both are using the same Std folder. Now, the version management dialog in the source project will automatically suggest the object versions required by the target project. The object sets the desired target value and starts the movement independently of the _status.Pending signal. After the movement has been started, the object expects the controller to update the _status.PositionReached signal. This is checked in the next cycle. If the signal is true in the next cycle, the object assumes that the target position has been reached. If the signal is wrong in this cycle, it would mean that the signal update in the controller is slower than the cycle time of the PLC. What is the cycle time used in the project?
