Start HMI V5.6 locally does not work with Windows11

With Windows10 the HMI starts normally, but with Windows11 it does not continue after opening the "mosquitto.exe".

This workaround is only possible if you are not using 3D Navigation. MQTT is used for synchronization between the HMI process and the VirtualAssist process.

Any update on this? With the 5.6.0.18 version I have this problem. There is a newer version (6.5.1) but the changelog doesn't mention anything about fixing the Win11 Mosquitto /Run HMI locally problem.

How about the newer HMI versions? 5.7, 5.8, 5.9?

The problem has been fixed in 5.8.3.

Older versions will not be fixed because the problem only applies to the development computer and as mentioned above there are two easy workarounds:

• If you are not using the 3D navigation (VirtualAssist), you can delete the folder Std\Hmi_V5_x\MQTT. This will solve the problem for this project permanently
• Otherwise, you need the MQTT broker. If you start mosquitto.exe once before starting the HMI, the HMI will start up correctly. Also, when closing the HMI, mosquitto will stay open, so the next HMI start will work as well. (Even when working with different HMI projects, you can leave the same mosquitto instance open.)
