Hello,
here is a change request for a feature that is at least missing in OES 4.11.1. Maybe it is available in newer CPS versions already?
Objects often have parameters that are only present if another parameter is set. For example, I have an object that allows the user to select a hardware output type between an analog output and PWM. If I select to use PWM, then the IOpconAnalogOutput parameter will be hidden. But if the parameter was already set, then it is not released. This is basically a good thing and has helped me a couple of times already. But the downside is that I cannot use the analog output channel in another object while it is in one of the hidden parameters.
I would like OES to be smart enough to figure out that a parameter is currently not active and thus should not throw warnings or even errors related to that parameter.

Thank you for your input, that sounds like a good idea. We will improve the validation in OES V4.11.2.
Control plus Studio has the same same behavior. Here, the improvement will be part of V5.4.
